MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Instruction and supervision of all students

Teach district-approved curriculum

Provide a clear purpose for instruction through high student engagement, a knowledge of the curriculum and pedagogy, and use research-based strategies; understand all forms of assessment and how to use these assessments to drive instruction; provide a positive classroom environment and culture that is conducive for all students to learn, and collaborate and communicate effectively with all stakeholders involved

Implement Michigan State Standards through effective instructional practices

Work as a team member to help our students build success stories
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

Help monitor hallways and school grounds

Be involved in after-school and extracurricular activities

Keep accurate classroom records
-
Attend conferences and workshops to keep current

Work as a team member
-
Supervision of students as needed
TEACHING QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Michigan Certification and Endorsement for appropriate grade levels required

Must meet all of the NCLB qualifications
