Position Overview
The Shop Manager is the heartbeat of the guest experience, team culture, and daily operations at TDPCO. This leader is responsible for creating an inviting, inspiring, and memorable environment where guests feel welcomed, connected, and excited to return.
This role combines people, leadership, sales growth, visual storytelling, and operational excellence. The Shop Manager develops and empowers the team through coaching, training, and clear communication while ensuring every detail of the guest experience reflects the TDPCO brand.

Key Responsibilities Create an Exceptional Guest Experience
- Lead by example in creating a warm, welcoming, and memorable experience for every guest.
- Build a culture where team members anticipate guest needs and provide personalized service.
- Ensure the shop environment reflects TDPCO's values through cleanliness, organization, presentation, and attention to detail.
- Develop strategies to increase guest engagement, loyalty, and repeat visits.
- Coach the team to invite guests to join our email community, helping build lasting relationships and keeping them connected through monthly emails featuring new products, recipes, events, and seasonal inspiration.
Lead & Develop the Team
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop a high-performing team focused on service, sales, and hospitality.
- Conduct daily huddles, team meetings, and ongoing training sessions to align priorities, communicate goals, and motivate the team.
- Create a culture of accountability, recognition, and continuous improvement.
- Develop team members' confidence through product knowledge, storytelling, and guest engagement skills.
- Coach employees on suggestive selling techniques that enhance the guest experience while naturally increasing sales.
- Identify future leaders and provide opportunities for growth and development.
Drive Sales Through Knowledge & Connection
- Develop a knowledgeable sales team that confidently educates guests on products, recipes, gifting, and the TDPCO story.
- Inspire the team to create meaningful guest interactions that build trust and long-term relationships.
- Lead the team in achieving sales goals through relationship-building rather than transactional selling.
- Analyze sales trends and identify opportunities to improve performance.
- Encourage creativity in merchandising, promotions, product pairings, and guest engagement.
Floor Leadership & Daily Operations
- Provide strong floor leadership by staying engaged with guests, coaching team members, and ensuring exceptional execution.
- Manage daily operations, scheduling, staffing, and workflow to support business goals.
- Ensure the sales floor is fully stocked, organized, and guest-ready throughout the day.
- Maintain high standards for customer service, safety, organization, cleanliness, and operational excellence.
- Address guest concerns with professionalism and create solutions that build trust.
- Ensure company policies, procedures, and brand standards are consistently followed.
Visual Merchandising & Brand Presentation
- Create inspiring visual displays that tell the TDPCO story and encourage guest discovery.
- Maintain a visually appealing, organized, and elevated shop environment.
- Ensure the sales floor is fully stocked throughout the day, keeping displays abundant, inviting, and easy for guests to shop.
- Replenish merchandise promptly and maintain product presentation standards to support an exceptional guest experience.
- Use creativity and seasonal storytelling to refresh displays and highlight products.
- Partner with leadership to execute merchandising strategies, promotions, and special initiatives.
- Ensure every area of the shop reflects attention to detail and brand excellence.
Events & Community Engagement
- Support and lead events that create meaningful guest experiences and strengthen community connections.
- Coordinate event planning, staffing, merchandising, setup, execution, and follow-up.
- Create opportunities for guests to connect with the brand through workshops, tastings, seasonal events, and special experiences.
- Build relationships with local businesses and community partners to support the TDPCO brand.
Qualifications
- Previous leadership experience in retail, hospitality, specialty food, lifestyle brands, or another guest-focused environment.
- Passion for creating exceptional guest experiences and building community.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, inspire, and develop high-performing teams.
- Experience training employees in product knowledge, suggestive selling, and guest engagement.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Creative eye for visual merchandising, displays, and brand presentation.
- Experience planning and executing events is highly desirable.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple priorities.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
