Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting the overall efficiency of our food service operations in a fast-paced environment, whether in a restaurant, hotel, or catering setting.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and kitchen by regularly cleaning floors, countertops, and equipment.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed to support cooks and kitchen staff.
- Bus tables and assist with clearing dining areas to ensure a pleasant dining experience for guests.
- Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during peak hours.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to management promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or culinary environments is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of proper sanitation practices and food safety guidelines is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities as needed within the kitchen team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business needs.
