Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Transports different types of material (particleboard, wood, painted or non-painted parts) from one location to another depending on department.
- Uses equipment (forklift, pallet jack, order picker, etc.) to deliver parts to proper locations depending on department.
- Stocks parts in rack locations depending on department.
Material Handler 2
- Use scanner or computer to scan items completed to deliver to the next operation.
Material Handler 3:
- Delivers various types of parts to all areas of the plant depending on the material.
- Transports buggies and/or pallets of parts to the correct locations throughout plant.
- Properly handles, stores, and transports paint and/or paint products (reports to Sanding/Finishing).
- Lifts heavy items or completed cabinets to stage or load trucks (reports to shipping).
- Utilize various types of equipment for movement of material.
Material Handler 4:
- Scan each product before it goes on the trailer for delivery
- Required to lift heavy items (up to 100 pounds) or completed cabinets to stage or load trucks (reports to shipping)
- Use hand trucks to transport cabinets from one area to another (reports to shipping).
- Operate yard truck to move trailer on and off shipping docks (reports to shipping).
Tools, Machinery and Equipment:
- Use of computers or scanners
- Hand truck
- Manual and/or Electric Pallet jack
- Buggies
- Order Picker
- Forklift
- Must complete the provided Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) training
