Reptile Keeper — Full Time (40 hrs/week). Sundown Reptiles · Swannanoa, NC
Sundown Reptiles is hiring a full-time Reptile Keeper to help care for our collection of harmless, non-venomous reptiles (99% lizards). No experience necessary, we'll train you.
What you'll do:
-Weekly upkeep of a large reptile collection
-Clean enclosures, water and food bowls, and general facility cleaning
-Feeding of animals and feeder insects (Crickets and cockroaches)
-Collect daily data and eggs for incubation.
-Handle small to medium sized, harmless reptiles comfortably and confidently
Requirements:
-No prior experience needed
-Comfortable handling reptiles and insects
-Reliable, detail-oriented, able to follow care protocols
-Must pass a background check
-Reliable trasportation
-Must live within an hours drive of Swannanoa, NC.
Pay:
-Starts at $16/hour
Paid training period, 30 to 60 days depending on how quickly you pick things up
-Raise upon completion of training, based on performance
-Long-term earning potential up to $25/hour as you take on Head Keeper / management responsibilities
Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
