American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) position at a short-term acute care hospital, requiring NBSTA certification and hands-on CV and heart/lung transplant case experience.

Short-term acute care hospital setting within a Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) unit
-
Cases include cardiovascular surgery and heart/lung transplants
-
Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
-
On-call responsibilities are required (approximately 110 hours)

One full weekend of call required within a 6-week call schedule
-
Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate facility is required
-
Charting is performed using Cerner EMR (experience required)
-
Scrubs are provided by the facility

Parking is complimentary
-
Active IN state or Compact RN license in hand (pending licenses not accepted)
-
Current NBSTA certification required and must be in hand at time of consideration

Current BLS certification required (AHA or RQI accepted)
-
Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required

Experience with cardiovascular and heart/lung transplant cases required

Cerner EMR experience required

Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution required

SSN and date of birth required for consideration

2 supervisor professional references required for consideration

First-time travelers are not accepted for this position

Local candidates (IN residents) are accepted

Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays

Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved

Former permanent or PRN employees of IU Health must have been away for at least 12 months before being eligible to work as a traveler

Travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within IU Health are required to take a consecutive break to reset eligibility: out-of-state residents require a 90-day break and in-state residents require a 180-day break, effective 2/24/26
