Transformer Field Services Technician
Job Description
This job will consist of assisting the Howard Industries Field Services department in the complete installation of power transformers along with performing warranty work among several different product lines among both power and distribution transformers. The majority of this work will be done in the outdoor environment and consists of traveling 75% of the time.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the offloading, installation, oil processing and testing of power transformers.
- Perform warranty work among multiple product lines.
- Interact with customers on job sites.
- Organize and report expenses from jobs.
- Repair weld leaks on existing products in field environment.
- Perform routine field testing of transformers.
- Other duties as the manager deems necessary.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Mechanical background and willingness to learn are required.
- Welding experience is preferred.
- CDL Class A with air brake endorsement is preferred.
- Prior transformer experience is preferred.
- Electrical experience is preferred.
- Skilled verbal communicator with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
- Accurate record keeping skills to handle expense and work reports.
Travel:
This job consists of traveling an estimated 75% of the time. This position could require travel by both air and land to the job site. One must be willing to perform job duties while working long hours, off-hours and occasional nights while in an outdoor environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
