A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Nurse (RN) to support patients undergoing minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. This role is ideal for a nursing professional who thrives in a procedural setting and is committed to delivering safe, patient-centered care.
Assess, monitor, and prepare patients before interventional procedures
Provide nursing care during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures requiring moderate sedation
Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
Administer medications and sedation in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and efficient patient care
Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery expectations, and follow-up care
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Support emergency response efforts when necessary
Adhere to infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards
Participate in on-call coverage and procedural support as assigned
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Previous experience in Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Critical Care, Emergency Department, or procedural nursing preferred
Experience with moderate sedation and patient monitoring preferred
Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment
