What You'll Do
As a Kona Ice Driver & Event Specialist, you will safely operate our Kona Ice truck, travel to scheduled events and routes, and provide exceptional customer service while serving our guests.
Responsibilities
- Safely drive and operate the Kona Ice truck to scheduled events and daily routes.
- Travel to multiple locations throughout the day as assigned.
- Set up and prepare the truck before each event.
- Serve shaved ice and smoothies quickly and professionally.
- Deliver an outstanding customer experience with every interaction.
- Maintain a fun, friendly, and positive attitude.
- Process cash and credit card transactions accurately.
- Keep the truck clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout your shift.
- Thoroughly clean and restock the truck at the end of each workday.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company operating procedures.
- Represent Kona Ice professionally while working with schools, businesses, event organizers, and customers.
- Communicate with management regarding schedules, inventory, and operational needs.
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to safely drive a commercial style food truck
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Friendly, outgoing, and dependable
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to pass a background check
Schedule
- Part time position
- On call based on scheduled events
- Flexible weekday, evening, and weekend availability required
- Some shifts include driving a scheduled route with multiple stops
- Hours vary depending on event schedule
Preferred Qualifications
- Customer service experience
- Food service or hospitality experience
- Experience driving large vehicles or delivery trucks
- Cash handling experience
