Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) working during AM, PM, or NOC shifts! Duties
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using safe lifting practices and assistive devices like Hoyer lifts.
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Support medication administration under supervision and ensure proper documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
- Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, wound care, and phlebotomy when trained and authorized.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to develop personalized care plans for patients across various units including ICU, emergency medicine, pediatrics, or behavioral health.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols in compliance with hospital standards.
Skills
- Proven experience working in diverse healthcare settings such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, or home care environments.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and basic life support (BLS) certification.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation.
- Experience caring for geriatric patients or individuals with developmental disabilities; expertise in dementia and memory care is highly valued.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following safe handling practices; physical stamina is essential.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages—including children—and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of infection control procedures including aseptic technique and infectious disease care standards.
