Why You’ll Love Working Here
We’re seeking Occupational Therapists to join our team, and while we prefer Certified Hand Therapists (CHTs), it’s not a requirement. This is a fantastic opportunity for growth in a collaborative and supportive environment, with 2 CHTs to mentor and guide you along the way.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing expert care for hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder injuries
- Creating custom orthoses / splints
- Using advanced techniques and modalities such as joint mobilization, and Kinesio taping
- Collaborating with our team including 2 CHTs to ensure the best outcomes for patients
- Working closely with orthopedic surgeons to improve patient recovery
We’ve Got Your Back – Mentorship for Growth
- A CHT mentor will guide you toward certification if you’re interested in becoming a CHT
- Start with lower-level patients and progressing to more complex cases as you grow your skills
About Our Clinic
- 40 – 50 % of patients are hand and wrist related
- 40% of patients are post-surgical
- Referrals from 2 Orthopedic Doctors, 4 Orthopedic Physician Assistants and 2 Orthopedic walk-in Clinics as well as outside referrals
- Yearly CME Reimbursement for Full Time staff
What We’re Looking For
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school, plus a master's degree in the field (new requirement as of 2007)
- CHT Certification is preferred, but not required
- A passion for working with patients dealing with hand and upper extremity issues
- A drive to grow and learn—new grads are welcome!
- A team-oriented attitude and enthusiasm for collaboration
- Other Requirements - some experience or at least field work experience in an orthopedic setting
- Current state Occupational Therapist license
- Successful completion of national certification examination
- Current state CHT designation and maintenance of certification (for CHTs)
- Current CPR certificate
