Position Summary: We are looking for life-long learners passionate about shaping students' hearts and minds. Join Great Hearts Academies, a growing network of 49 public, open-enrollment, tuition-free classical schools in Phoenix (AZ), Baton Rouge (LA), Dallas/Ft. Worth (TX), and San Antonio (TX).
Great Hearts currently provides over 30,000 K-12 students with access to a high quality, classical liberal arts education. We believe the highest goal of education is to become good, intellectually and morally.
All Spanish courses are taught in a full-immersion style classroom (speaking, listening, reading, and writing only in the language from day 1)
Spanish is offered both at the K-5 level and in high school.
All courses are taught liberally for the cultivation of the mind and culminate in the reading of canonical literary works, which are examined through reading, class discussion, and writing assignments.
Roles and Responsibilities:

Teach assigned classes using the Great Hearts curriculum and materials, preparing thoughtful lessons and cultivating an orderly, joyful classroom that supports the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty.

Provide appropriate academic support to students, monitor progress, and partner with school leadership to address academic or behavioral needs in a timely manner.

Uphold and model the culture, policies, and expectations of Great Hearts, including dress code, conduct, and safety procedures, contributing to a respectful and orderly school environment.

Communicate clearly and professionally with families, initiating conferences as needed and fostering strong home-school partnerships.

Participate fully in the life of the academy through faculty collaboration, school events, assigned duties, and a shared commitment to ongoing professional growth and excellence in teaching.
Required/Preferred Education:

Bachelor's or higher degree is required for a lead teaching role

Certification is not required for general education

All majors are welcome
US work authorization is required
