Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages including cocktails, spirits, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options with precision and flair
- Engage with guests to understand their preferences and recommend drinks or menu items to enhance their experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring proper cash handling procedures
- Develop new beverage recipes and contribute to menu updates that reflect current trends and customer preferences
- Manage bar inventory, restock supplies, and monitor stock levels to prevent shortages during service hours
- Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods and special events like banquets or catering functions
Requirements
- Proven experience as a bartender with strong cocktail mixing skills and beverage recipe development
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing transactions efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests in a friendly, professional manner
- Knowledge of wine varieties, spirits, brewing processes, and craft beer trends; experience in fine dining environments is highly desirable
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining quality standards
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, retail math understanding, and food industry calculations
- Food safety certification or knowledge of food handling procedures; banquet or catering experience is a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced hospitality setting
