GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Catering Specialist is responsible for developing strong relationship with guests who needing large catering services either on site at Strang Reserve or off-site. They manage the catering event process, from guest follow up, building event orders and executing successful catering events.
The role also requires multi-tasking and adherence to standard operating policies and procedures, with essential focus areas including:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
In addition to following standard operating policies and procedures, the main areas of focus include (but are not limited to):
Client Relationship Management
· Create an exceptional customer experience.
· Ensuring Client satisfaction throughout the entire event process.
· Handling Client inquiries and resolving any issues or concerns.
· Building and Maintaining strong, lasting relationships with clients.
Event Planning & Coordination
· Collaborating with clients to understand their needs & preferences.
· Assisting with menu selection, logistics, and event design.
· Coordinating with the kitchen and service staff to ensure seamless execution.
· Providing On-Site support during events whenever necessary.
· Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
· Familiarity with event logistics, menu planning, and catering operations.
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
· Ability to motivate and lead a team, delegate tasks effectively, and give constructive feedback.
· Open availability required.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
· Food Safety Certification is required, depending on state regulations.
· Ability to follow established guidelines and expectations.
· 48-52 hours a week expected
