Position Type: Full Time
Hours: 40 hrs p/wk
Primary Purpose:
This position is about 50% driving and 50% working where needed in the shop.
1. To provide customer support in all aspects related to pickup & delivery of all products & parts. Work directly with customers providing good customer relations, support & exchanging information.
2. Pull 40' gooseneck trailer using company vehicle.
3. When daily run is complete and checked in, this position is expected to help in the shop where needed.
Primary Duties:
1. This position will ensure that all incoming and outgoing products & parts are handled safely during all transporting to & from CPC. Load & unload all parts and stage in proper area for production. Talk with customers regarding future sales, problems & any pertinent information.
PPE required:
1. Eye protection.
2. Ear Protection.
3. High Visibility Jacket/Vest Required
Shipping Job Description
Reports to: Shop Floor Supervisor
- Ensure that all incoming jobs are tagged, counted and work order generated (CPC-TD-002).
- Stage products for production as parts come in.
- Maintain the parking lot area. Pallets stacked, pickup all trash & debris.
- Provide support to production during downtime.
- Review the daily scheduling board to arrange pickups & delivery schedule.
- Verify all parts, counts & packing list is correct prior to delivery.
- Demonstrate good safe forklift skills in loading, unloading & moving parts to proper location.
- Proficient in filling out work orders, understanding sandblasting, prepping, interior & exterior colors.
- Must maintain a clean appearance.
- Deliver all work orders, purchase orders & paperwork to the office.
- Assist in shop when available, move parts, organize jobs in staging area.
- Greet customers as necessary and offer assistance when applicable.
- Assist customers with loading and/or off-loading product.
- Demonstrate good work habits & customer service. No smoking around customers & in company vehicles.
- Pass on all related information from customers to Shop Floor Supervisor & office personnel.
- Keep propane bottles filled for forklift.
- Maintain trucks & trailer, checking all fluids, washing vehicles, checking hoses & belts, tires and login to maintenance log (CPC-MT-001). Each vehicle & trailer to have separate maintenance log.
- Notify Shop Floor Supervisor when maintenance needs to be scheduled, oil changes, repairs, tires etc.
- Lock any vehicle left in yard each night (or as scheduled). Bring keys & gas card to office each night (or as scheduled).
- Report any unsafe acts or hazards.
- Follow all DOT requirements and laws.

Physical Requirements:
1. Must be able to lift 35lbs.
