Job Details:

Kiko is a 75-seat restaurant from the husband-wife team Alex Chang and Lina Goujjane. Chef Chang’s cuisine harmoniously blends American fare with Asian accents.

Kiko features a full bar and an ambitious beverage program run by Lina Goujjane, an alum of The Nomad, Momofuku Group and two star Sushi Noz. Goujjane is a second-generation NYC restaurateur and sommelier. Opening cocktail list will be a curation from former veteran of Saga and Overstory, Chris Lemperle.

The elegantly redesigned space is a destination-worthy draw to Hudson Square, a
prime 33-block neighborhood ideally situated between the West Village, SoHo, and TriBeCa
in Lower Manhattan.

Key responsibilities:

Assist CDC and Sous Chefs in supervising BOH operations by:
- Successfully expediting lunch and dinner services when needed
- Ensuring that food quality standards are met and clearly communicated to the BOH team, particularly when leading a service
- Organizing and monitoring BOH labor and productivity in accordance with business demand
- Overseeing food production at all stations and leading communication along the line to achieve a focused, successful service
Assist CDC and Sous Chefs in upholding DOH compliance
- Supervise the completion of daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenance routines and checklists
- Help identify areas in need of repair and occasionally supervise the completion of those repairs
Support open, respectful, and productive communication across all teams
Work with the CDC and Sous Chefs to establish and achieve clear individual performance goals

Successful candidate will:

Have 2+ years of professional cooking experience with excellent production skills
Display keen attention to detail and spatial awareness
Be reliable, focused, organized, communicative, and curious
Have a receptive and charitable attitude toward constructive feedback
Be interested in working collaboratively towards meeting the goals of the team and the business
