Job Description
The Neurodiagnostic Tech will perform EEG procedures within the ICU, supporting both routine and continuous monitoring. Candidates must be proficient in EEG setup, troubleshooting, and neurophysiology interpretation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform EEG setup, electrode placement, and patient preparation
- Conduct neonatal, routine, and continuous EEG monitoring
- Utilize Nihon Kohden software for recording and review
- Troubleshoot equipment and ensure high‑quality data acquisition
- Recognize abnormal patterns and escalate findings appropriately
- Wrap and secure electrodes for long‑term monitoring
- Document procedures accurately (EPIC preferred)
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of Neurodiagnostic/EEG experience
- Required: Nihon Kohden software experience
- Preferred: EPIC EMR experience
- Strong skills in:
- Electrode placement
- Neonatal EEG
- Pattern recognition
- Patient prep, measurement, and continuous EEG setup
Required Credentials
- BLS
- EEG certification (or grandfathered experience)
