Job Summary:
Responsibilities include performing routine cleaning duties to maintain the cleanliness of the facility and supervising subordinates.
Job Duties:
Schedules and assigns tasks to subordinate staff. Inspects completed work for conformance. Maintains cleanliness of floors by sweeping, mopping, waxing and/or vacuuming as needed. Maintains cleanliness of bathrooms by scouring and sanitizing fixtures. Maintains cleanliness of areas by dusting furniture and fixtures. Replenishes bathroom supplies and other expendable items as needed. Collects and disposes of trash from receptacles on a daily basis. Maintains orderliness of supply room by placing articles in assigned areas. Inspects and disposes of litter from grounds. Informs supervisor of supply shortages and picks up supplies as instructed. Routinely inspects structure for needed repairs and reports any findings to supervisor. Maintains a daily log on areas needing preventative maintenance. Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Minimal supervisory responsibility is required. (Lead)
Qualifications:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); no substitutions.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
An additional one year of experience is required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating..
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Employee must not and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG’s Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA’s List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE). Must possess the skills to make small routine repairs to the structure.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
