Role Description We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to support the fabrication, assembly, and installation of industrial equipment and structural components. The ideal candidate will be experienced in reading blueprints, fabricating metal components, welding, and assisting with the installation of machinery and mechanical systems at customer facilities. This position requires a strong commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork while working in shop and field environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate, modify, and assemble metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and layout plans.
- Measure, cut, drill, grind, and fit steel, stainless steel, and aluminum materials.
- Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding as required to fabricate equipment and support structures.
- Assemble fabricated components for industrial machinery, conveyors, platforms, guards, piping supports, and structural frames.
- Assist with the installation, positioning, and alignment of industrial equipment and mechanical systems.
- Operate fabrication equipment including saws, ironworkers, drill presses, plasma cutters, brake presses, and other shop machinery.
- Perform field modifications and repairs during equipment installation projects.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards and project specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and site-specific safety requirements.
- Work closely with millwrights, welders, electricians, project managers, and other trades to complete projects on schedule.
- Travel to customer job sites as required and work overtime when project demands require.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical school or vocational training in welding, fabrication, or metalworking preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of fabrication and industrial equipment installation experience.
- Proficient in reading fabrication drawings and blueprints.
- Experience with MIG, TIG, and stick welding processes.
- Knowledge of industrial machinery installation and structural steel fabrication.
- Ability to safely operate fabrication tools, power tools, and material handling equipment.
- Forklift, aerial lift, and rigging experience preferred.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.

- Estimated 14–16 month contract
- Based on-site in McKinney, TX
- Full-time schedule with overtime opportunities available
