We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Machinist with leadership experience who can program, set up, and operate both CNC and manual machines. This role is hands-on while also providing technical guidance, job planning, and day-to-day leadership on the shop floor. The ideal candidate can take parts from print to finished product and help keep work moving efficiently and correctly.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes
- Operate manual mills and lathes as needed
- Lead and support machinists with setups, troubleshooting, and best practices
- Plan jobs, prioritize work, and coordinate machine schedules
- Review prints, tolerances, and machining strategy before release to the floor
- Perform and oversee first-article, in-process, and final inspections
- Train and mentor machinists and operators
- Adjust offsets, tooling, feeds, and speeds to maintain quality and efficiency
- Communicate with management, engineering, and quality regarding job status and issues
- Maintain shop safety, organization, and machining standards
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience as a CNC machinist/programmer
- CAM programming experience (Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar)
- Proven experience running both CNC and manual machines
- Experience with CNC mills and lathes (setup through run)
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a machine shop
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
- Proficient with precision inspection tools
- Ability to work independently and lead by example
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior lead machinist, shop foreman, or supervisor experience
- Job shop or short-run manufacturing experience
- Experience working with tight tolerances and complex parts
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
