Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits with precision and flair.
- Engage with guests to understand their preferences, recommend drinks, and provide exceptional customer service that encourages repeat visits.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and sanitation protocols.
- Manage cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; process payments efficiently while providing friendly service.
- Develop new beverage recipes and craft innovative cocktails to keep our menu fresh and exciting.
- Monitor inventory levels of alcohol, mixers, garnishes, and supplies; place orders as needed to ensure smooth operation.
- Collaborate with the restaurant team to coordinate food and beverage service during busy hours or special events like banquets or catering functions.
Experience
- Proven experience as a bartender in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment, preferably with fine dining or upscale bar settings.
- Strong knowledge of mixology techniques, cocktail recipes, wine varieties, brewing processes, and spirits.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; adept at cash handling and basic math for processing transactions accurately.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while managing multiple orders efficiently.
- Experience in food handling, food safety standards, and sanitation practices within the food industry.
- Ability to manage time effectively during high-volume periods; strong organizational skills are essential.
- Previous bar management or supervisory experience is a plus but not required; a passion for hospitality industry excellence is vital.
