Forbes Academy, where heart, soul and passion is in everything we do, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Montessori Elementary Guide to lead our founding Elementary classroom (initially serving ages 6–12).
We’re in the exciting final stretch of launching Forbes Academy, our plans are moving forward and we’re securing our campus site now. We’re building our founding team.
This is a unique opportunity to co-create a vibrant, inclusive Montessori environment from the ground up, nurturing independent learners, creative thinkers, and compassionate citizens.
Key Responsibilities:
-Deliver a rich and authentic Montessori curriculum aligned with the developmental needs of Elementary (6–12) students.
-Foster critical thinking, curiosity, and a deep love of learning through hands-on, interdisciplinary lessons.
-Maintain a prepared environment that supports independence, community, and joyful exploration.
-Observe and document student progress and adapt lessons to individual and group needs.
-Guide students in grace and courtesy, emotional regulation, and peaceful conflict resolution.
-Collaborate with assistant guides, specialists, and administration to support the whole child.
-Communicate proactively with families and maintain positive partnerships rooted in trust.

Requirements:
-AMI, IMC, AMS, or MACTE-accredited Montessori Certification for Elementary (6–12) – Required
-Minimum 2 years of experience in a Montessori elementary classroom
-Deep understanding of Montessori philosophy, Cosmic Education, and child development
-Strong classroom management, observation, and organizational skills
-CPR/First Aid certified (or willingness to obtain before the start date)
-Must meet Texas DFPS licensing requirements for caregivers in a licensed school or childcare program
-Proficiency with documentation, planning, and adapting curriculum based on student needs
Preferred Qualifications:
-Spanish bilingual (strongly preferred)
-Experience supporting neurodiverse learners or inclusive education frameworks
-Interest in long-term development of an Upper Elementary
