Responsibilities
- Safely operate passenger vehicles such as vans and secured cars to transport clients during evening and night hours
- Follow designated local driving routes while adhering to all traffic laws and state transportation regulations
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles, including those with mobility challenges or special needs
- Maintain clear communication with clients to ensure a smooth, comfortable ride and address any special requests or concerns
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance
- Manage GPS navigation systems efficiently to reach destinations promptly and accurately
- Handle heavy lifting when assisting clients or loading/unloading mobility aids or luggage
Qualifications
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and local driving routes
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for passenger vehicles
- Experience operating passenger vans, medical transportation vehicles, or paratransit services is highly desirable
- Knowledge of traffic regulations, state transportation laws, and safety standards for passenger vehicles
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and lift heavy items when necessary
- Strong attention to detail for vehicle maintenance checks and client interactions
- Healthcare experience is encouraged
