- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews, to ensure safe treatment planning.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately using digital imaging equipment.
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records and documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term dental health.
- Adhere strictly to infection prevention protocols, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA compliance to safeguard patient information and prevent cross-contamination.
Skills
- Proficiency with dental software platforms such as Eaglesoft for scheduling, documentation review, and record management.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding for accurate recordkeeping.
- Ability to perform medical imaging procedures safely while maintaining patient comfort.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients of all ages about their oral health needs while maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
