Responsibilities:
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Answer, report and follow manager instructions.
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customer
Qualifications:
Previous experience in the food industry, catering, or dietary department is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology
- Ability to handle knives and other kitchen equipment safely
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Must be able to communicate clearly in English.
