Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and nurturing Three Year Old Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for preschool children. Your energy and enthusiasm will help foster curiosity, social skills, and early learning experiences that lay the foundation for lifelong growth. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in young children’s lives while developing your skills in early childhood education. The hours for this position are 8:30-5:30 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans focused on early childhood development and preschool curriculum standards
- Supervise and engage with children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and positive interactions
- Support children with their individual needs, including those requiring special education or additional behavioral support
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that promotes learning and safety
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, behavior, and daily activities to foster strong partnerships
- Follow mandated reporting laws and health & safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures when necessary
- Support classroom management strategies that encourage positive behavior and social-emotional development
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with young children in a preschool, daycare, or childcare setting is highly preferred
- Knowledge of child development instruction, behavior management, and classroom management techniques
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) is required; pediatric first aid training is a plus
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is advantageous
- Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles, childhood development milestones, and toddler care practices
- Ability to work actively on your feet for extended periods while maintaining a lively and positive attitude
