Position Summary - this is a Part time Position - flexible hours and shifts:
The Banquet Server is responsible for setting tables, serving, and clearing meals to Club members and guests according to well established rules or etiquette and service guidelines. The Banquet Server will also perform various incidental duties to ensure consistent and efficient service. Servers will be required to do light cleaning duties to ensure proper cleanliness of the room, the service station and equipment used.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Preferred to have thorough knowledge of both ala carte and buffet service, style, pricing, menu selections, etc.
Highly preferred to have thorough knowledge of cocktail service, i.e., types of drinks, wine, ingredients, garnishes, prices, proper service, etc.
Duties include ringing sales tickets, ensuring members sign ticket before leaving, collecting cash during cash bar events, totaling tallies during host bars, ensure compliance with Club policy on alcohol service.
Other duties include refilling condiments, restocking supplies, maintaining cleanliness, etc., cover for other areas of the Food Service Team.
Be courteous, obliging, and attentive. Always greet members and guests with eye contact and a SMILE.
Inspect all dishes, glass, linens, and silver for cleanliness before serving, follow prescribed serving procedures, such as but not limited to:
- Serve ladies first if gentlemen are seated at the same table.

Serve food from the left with your left hand and clear from the right with your right hand.
- Place and remove beverages from the right with your right hand.
- Refill beverages while glass is still on the table.
- Never place fingers or thumbs inside of dish or glass.
- Clean table well before serving dessert.
- Don’t clear until being instructed to by the manager.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Banquet service experience preferred with strong communication and guest relations skills.
Work Environment:
Frequently required to stand, walk, sit; use hands and fingers to feel, handle or carry. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms; to climb, balance, stoop, kneel and crouch. Employee will regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
