Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating a CAT 349 or equivalent excavator, and possess a strong mechanical knowledge. The Operator will be responsible for operating an excavator to load haul trucks. This job will require shift work and weekends.
Duties
- Operate CAT excavators to load material into haul trucks.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to ensure project timelines are met.
- Perform daily inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Follow safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery on construction sites.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area around the equipment.
- Document daily activities and report any issues or concerns to management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CAT 349 or equivalent excavators
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Familiarity with Caterpillar machinery is advantageous.
- Previous construction site experience is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the job site.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening as required by company policies.
- MSHA certification will be required.
