PAY SCALE: $46,500 - $66,500/Year, Based on Education and Experience
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide advocacy and support for the understanding and use of library eResources in professional development and organizational activities. Provide training and support for library automation.
TYPICAL DUTIES:

Provide training and support for library automation, specifically TLC and Follett Resource Manager.

Provide training and support to internal and component district staff on effectively incorporating school library system eResources into teaching, professional development, resource guides, and other organizational activities.

Evaluate and demonstrate eResources to enhance instruction and presentations.

Participate as a member of the school library system.

Liaison with professional development, libraries, technical staff and other BOCES/Big 5 school library system staff to identify resource sharing opportunities.

Provide training and support for the integration and development of online programs and web page development.

Provide coaching to librarians on using and integrating school library system resources into their instruction and library programs.

Promote the various tools and eResources within the School Library System and Media Department for district staff (i.e., teachers & librarians) to use such as: Video Streaming, eBooks, Online Databases, TLC, LibGuides, Makerspaces, Panopto and other resources.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
Integrating library technologies with instruction. Training and staff/professional development utilizing eResources. Training and supporting Library Automation systems.
Education:
Current New York State certified Library Media Specialist
