Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Behavior Technician/Registered and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders. In this role, you will implement evidence-based behavioral interventions, primarily Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), to support clients with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities. You will work closely with families, educators, and healthcare professionals to promote positive behavior change, enhance skill development, and improve overall quality of life. Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and hygiene to foster independence
- Collect and analyze behavioral data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment plans
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on ABA principles to support clients’ developmental goals
- Provide direct behavioral therapy in various settings, including home-based environments and community-based environments
- Support clients with autism spectrum disorders through structured teaching, behavior management, and skill acquisition strategies
- Maintain detailed medical documentation and behavioral records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies
- Communicate regularly with clients’ families and team members to report progress, discuss care plans, and ensure consistency across settings
Skills
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorders
- Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and special education strategies
- Ability to assist with ADLs and implement behavior intervention protocols effectively
- Proficiency in data collection methods and maintaining accurate medical records
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to behavioral health and client care documentation
- Excellent client communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient care
- Familiarity with professional ethical standards such as the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts
