Duties
- Conduct thorough dental cleanings and assessments using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Review patient documentation and medical history to ensure comprehensive care.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, proper care techniques, and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Perform digital x-rays as required.
- Monitor vital signs as necessary to ensure patient safety during treatments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Utilize Dentrix software for patient management, scheduling, and documentation purposes.
- Stay updated with advancements in general dentistry practices and techniques.
- Work closely with the dental team to ensure a seamless patient experience
Requirements
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of Maryland.
- Proficiency in Dentrix software is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience in a dental clinic setting is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform documentation review accurately and efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient education and comfort.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude and eagerness to contribute.
