Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service throughout their shopping experience
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and swiftly
- Handle cash register operations, including cash handling, balancing cash drawers, and processing returns or exchanges
- Assist customers with product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the sales floor is clean, attractive, and well-maintained
- Maintain proper phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and ensuring inventory levels are adequate
- Provide product knowledge to customers by staying informed about store offerings and retail store product knowledge
Skills
- Proficiency in POS systems and cash register operations with strong cash handling skills
- Previous supervising experience is a plus for leadership opportunities within the team
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions, discounts, and inventory counts
- Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written forms; bilingual abilities are highly valued
- Experience in retail sales, upselling techniques, and conducting product demos to enhance customer engagement
- Knowledge of retail store merchandising standards and stocking procedures
- Strong phone etiquette for professional customer interactions over the phone or online
- Familiarity with basic math concepts necessary for cashiering and retail math calculations
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences
