Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SUDPT/SUDP to join our team, providing essential support and treatment for individuals struggling with substance use disorders. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in case management and therapy, with a focus on outpatient care. This role involves working closely with clients to develop personalized treatment plans, facilitate group therapy sessions, and ensure comprehensive documentation of medical records.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine client needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide therapy and counseling services, including individual and group therapy sessions.
- Manage case files and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Facilitate outpatient services, ensuring clients receive appropriate support throughout their recovery journey.
- Implement crisis management strategies to address urgent client needs effectively.
- Engage in research activities to stay updated on best practices in substance use treatment.
- Utilize art therapy techniques as part of holistic treatment approaches for clients.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and enhance client outcomes.
- Provide education and resources to clients regarding PTSD care and coping strategies.
Qualifications
- Relevant certification as a Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee (SUDPT) or Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP).
- Proven experience in case management, therapy, or related fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with outpatient treatment settings and group therapy facilitation.
- Knowledge of coding practices related to medical records is a plus.
- Strong crisis management skills and the ability to respond effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a compassionate approach to client interactions.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards in practice.
