American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring EPIC EMR experience and a compact RN license in hand.

Work in the MS/Tele unit of a Short Term Acute Care, Level IV Trauma Center hospital
-
Care for cardiac telemetry and med/surg patients including monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
-
Patient ratio of 1:4
-
Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
-
Required to work every other weekend
-
Standby on-call required
-
Floating to other units and sister facilities based on skill set and unit needs

Uses Epic EMR
-
Active RN license (Compact) required in hand at time of submission

OR RN license required
-
Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
-
Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required
-
Epic EMR experience required (hard requirement)
-
Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line and PICC line care, and blood product administration required
-
Skilled in port access/management, peripheral line care, and starting/maintaining IVs
-
Prior travel nursing experience preferred
-
Must have a vehicle for this assignment

Provide direct patient care including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and rapid response/code team coordination
-
Manage patients requiring continuous bladder irrigation, feeding tube care, tracheostomy care, oxygen administration, and IV insulin protocols
-
Administer PCA medications and follow isolation precautions/PPE protocols as needed

Scrub color is unrestricted; business casual also accepted

No parking fees at this facility

Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer RTO requests may not be accommodated

Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate; candidates residing within 50 miles are subject to local rules

Former permanent employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they do not reside within 50 miles of the facility

Two supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years are required

First-time travelers may be considered on a case-by-case basis
