Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant café team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional customer service, prepare high-quality coffee and food items, work as a team player, and maintain a clean and welcoming environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food service, retail operations, and customer engagement within a fun and supportive café setting. We are not looking to hire short term seasonal applicants.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to company standards.
- Operate POS systems, we use Square via Ipad
- Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide excellent customer service.
- Manage cash handling duties with accuracy, including cashiering and basic math calculations.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations in compliance with food safety standards.
- Restock supplies, ingredients, and merchandise as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist in food preparation and serving to meet quality standards.
- Uphold food handling protocols and safety regulations at all times.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service.
- Support team members in daily café operations to create a positive customer experience.
Skills
- Experience as a Barista or in the food industry preferred but not necessary
- Familiarity with handling cash and POS systems.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food preparation, and serving procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
