Duties
- Supervise and engage children during play, learning activities, and daily routines to promote their social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Implement age-appropriate educational activities that support childhood development milestones and foster creativity
- Ensure the safety of all children by maintaining vigilant supervision and adhering to safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR when necessary
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages learning and exploration while following health and safety standards
- Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other routine care needs for infants and toddlers
- Support behavior management strategies that promote positive social interactions and emotional regulation
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid, CPR, including pediatric first aid preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child safety regulations
- Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and teamwork within the childcare environment
- Ability to manage classroom activities confidently while demonstrating patience and flexibility
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus but not required; training provided as needed
