Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities, including cleaning, laundry, and custodial tasks, ensuring all areas meet quality standards
- Lead, motivate, and train housekeeping staff to deliver excellent service while adhering to safety and hygiene protocols
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, and maintenance compliance
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment; place orders as needed to maintain operational efficiency
- Develop work schedules that optimize staffing levels for peak times and special events
- Enforce health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment use
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate special cleaning projects or deep-clean initiatives
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in housekeeping or custodial management within a hospitality or hotel setting
- Strong background in cleaning techniques, janitorial services, laundry operations, and commercial cleaning procedures
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment
- Experience managing inventory, scheduling staff, and maintaining quality standards in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of hospitality industry best practices related to housekeeper management and guest satisfaction
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience is highly preferred
- Familiarity with safety protocols related to custodial work and chemical handling
