Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- Before School: 6:45 a.m.–8:45 a.m.
- After School: 3:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m.
- Additional hours available during school breaks, snow days, vacation weeks, and Summer Camp.

Location assignments are based on program needs and applicant preference whenever possible.

The Oswego YMCA is seeking enthusiastic, dependable, and passionate Site Leads/ Teacher Assistants to help lead our growing Before & After School Enrichment Programs (LEAPS).
As a Site Lead, you'll oversee daily program operations while creating a safe, engaging, and fun environment where children can learn, build friendships, and grow. You'll mentor staff, collaborate with families and school personnel, and help shape meaningful experiences for youth in our community.

What You'll Do
- Lead daily before and after school enrichment programming.
- Plan engaging activities including arts & crafts, STEM, games, sports, homework assistance, character development, and team-building.
- Supervise children while maintaining a safe, positive, and inclusive environment.
- Provide leadership and guidance to Teacher Assistants and program staff.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, school staff, and the community.
- Maintain attendance records, safety documentation, and required program paperwork.
- Ensure compliance with YMCA policies and New York State OCFS regulations.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming program site.
- Promote the YMCA's core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and YMCA special events.

Education & Experience
Applicants must meet one of the following qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Child Development, Education, Physical Education, or a related field and two years of experience working with children (including one year in a supervisory role), or
- New York State School Age Child Care Credential or Children's Program Administrator Credential and two years of qualifying experience, or
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) and at least two years of experience working with children under 13, including one year of supervisory experience.
Experience working in youth programs, childcare, camps, or schools is strongly preferred.

Required Certifications
Upon hire or within required timeframes:
- NYS Fingerprint Clearance
- Physical and TB Test
- YMCA Child Abuse Prevention Training
- Required online onboarding training
- CPR/First Aid certification (preferred or willingness to obtain)
