Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of grilled foods, ensuring high standards of taste and presentation.
- Follow recipes and menu specifications while maintaining consistency in food preparation.
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are strictly followed to maintain a clean work environment.
- Assist in menu planning and development, contributing ideas for new dishes and specials.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including grills, ovens, and knives.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
- Help train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a restaurant or dietary aide role.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the culinary field.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
