Reports to: Facilities Director
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Staff is responsible for supporting the upkeep, cleanliness, and general maintenance of all Yacht Club facilities, including the clubhouse, docks, marina, and grounds. This role focuses on hands-on work such as repairs, cleaning, groundskeeping, and assisting with daily facility operations. Maintenance Staff are an essential part of ensuring a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for members and guests.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on buildings, docks, marina structures, and equipment.

Assist with painting, carpentry, and light structural repairs as needed.

Maintain outdoor areas, including mowing, trimming, weeding, leaf removal, and general landscaping tasks.

Keep club facilities clean and orderly through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and window cleaning.

Maintain pool areas and equipment, including basic upkeep and cleaning.

Help set up and take down furniture and equipment for events or seasonal use.

Support other departments with physical tasks such as moving supplies or light transport of materials.

Respond to maintenance – related issues or requests as directed by the club management.

Perform other general duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years old.

Available to work evenings and weekends

Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.

Prior experience in building or grounds maintenance preferred.

Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repair work.

Experience with marina or waterfront maintenance is a plus but not required.

Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Ability to bend, lift, carry, climb, and perform physical tasks (up to 50 lbs.).

Must be able to work a 40-hour week and occasionally adjust hours for special events or seasonal needs.
