Job Description:
The Department of Natural Sciences is soliciting applications for an adjunct microbiology faculty position for undergraduate students in the day division. We are seeking a microbiology lecture instructor for BIOL 208 Microbiology for Health Sciences beginning in the Fall 2026 semester.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and deliver microbiology instruction in a didactic classroom setting to promote student success.

Support and promote the university and departmental missions centered on excellence in teaching and learning through quality instruction and curriculum enhancement.

Practice student-centered instructional strategies.

Provide students with frequent, timely assessment of and clear feedback regarding academic performance.

Appropriately document student progress and maintain accurate records such as attendance, grading and achievement of student learning outcomes.

Communicate with other BIOL 208 instructor(s) to align coursework across sections and communicate with BIOL 208 lab instructors to properly update overall student grades.

Minimum Requirements:
- A master's degree or above.

Teaching experience, as well as knowledge of the subject matter.

Demonstrate ability to use technology and experience using a learning management system (LMS). At Immaculata, Moodle is used in the implementation and distribution of course content.
