Overview
Savannah Civil Sitework LLC is a Leading Sitework/ Excavation Co. in Syracuse, NY. we are looking for an experienced CDL Class A driver. Responsibilities would include driving tractor/Lowboy trailer to transport heavy equipment, driving Dump truck, helping in the field as needed, and potentially operating heavy equipment.
We are a medium-sized company and we all have to wear many hats. We are a tight-knit crew so its important we have a team-oriented mentality. We jump in and help each other as the situation requires to get the job done. Those with resumes to the front of the line.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a CDL Class A Drivers License.
- Operate various types of trucks including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, heavy equipment.
- Load and unload freight as required, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Plan and follow efficient routes for timely delivery while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with other team members regarding delivery status and any issues encountered on the road.
- Ensure that cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Ability to handle physical demands loading/ unloading freight.
- MUST be able to drive a manual transmission.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
