We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Evening Shift Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team and oversee daily kitchen operations. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all kitchen staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating team members to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to recipes, presentation standards, and food safety regulations.
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs.
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth shift transitions and exceptional customer service.
- Implement and maintain proper food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and safety protocols in compliance with health regulations.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation.
- Develop staff schedules, manage shift coverage, and handle operational issues promptly to ensure efficient restaurant flow.
Requirements
- Proven experience in kitchen management within quick service or fast food restaurant environments; fine dining or casual dining experience is a plus.
- Strong culinary skills with a comprehensive understanding of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food presentation.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team effectively.
- Knowledge of inventory control practices, food safety standards (such as ServSafe certification), and budgeting principles.
- Familiarity with FOCUS POS system.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train staff on food production, customer service standards, and safety procedures.
- Hospitality management background with experience in restaurant management or hotel food service operations preferred.
