About Us: Midland Trail Animal Hospital is a brand-new, modern veterinary clinic opening its doors to serve our community with compassionate, high-quality care. MTAH will place a focus on daytime emergency, urgent care, and critical care. We are slated to open in August 2026. We are looking to form a team focused on kindness, teamwork, and a genuine love for animals. As we grow, we’re looking for enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Technicians to help shape our culture and provide exceptional patient care from day one.
The registered veterinary technician will provide high-quality nursing care in general practice, emergency, and ICU settings. This role supports outpatient appointments, anesthesia, triage, patient stabilization, diagnostics, and hospitalized patient care.
What You’ll Do: As an RVT at our clinic, you will play a key role in both patient care and client experience, including:
- Perform technical tasks including venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, dentistry assists, radiology, and lab diagnostics.
- Support triage assessment and stabilization of incoming patients.
- Assist with daytime ICU monitoring (fluid therapy, patient scoring, vitals).
- Communicate clearly with clients about medical updates as directed by DVMs.
- Maintain accurate medical records and assist with workflow efficiency.
- Support the training of assistants and hospital assistants.
- Attending focused continuing education events (both online and in person) for both community practice and emergency and critical care, as well as attending and being involved in on-site rounds discussions
What We’re Looking For
- Active RVT license in West Virginia
- Strong technical skills and a commitment to fear-free, compassionate care. Experience with emergency and critical care and community practice is preferred
- Excellent communication and teamwork
- Comfort working in a startup clinic environment where ideas and initiative are encouraged
- Positive attitude and genuine love for patient care
- Experience with Ezyvet as a practice management software is preferred but not required

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
