Innovate! Inc. is seeking a highly experienced GIS Process Improvement / Workflow Specialist to assess geospatial workflows, identify optimization opportunities, and recommend efficiency improvements for structured and unstructured datasets. This role will apply automation where appropriate, including ML/AI-assisted data cleaning, and will develop annual Process Improvement Plans. The position requires technical competency in GIS data, QA/QC of spatial data, web mapping, raster data, remotely sensed data, geospatial analysis, data editing, map production, and working knowledge of data models and standards.

Salary Range: $112,000 - $132,000

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assess current geospatial workflows and identify optimization opportunities.

Apply automation and ML/AI-assisted data cleaning where feasible.

Produce annual Process Improvement Plans.

Recommend efficiency enhancements for structured and unstructured datasets.

Perform GIS data work and QA/QC of spatial data with little assistance.

Write papers, develop procedure documentation, and develop presentation materials.
-
Present project results to small and large groups.

Provide training in the use and application of GIS for real-world applications.

Produce web maps.
-
Use raster data.
-
Integrate and analyze remotely sensed data in a GIS.
-
Apply ESRI ARC software products.
-
Integrate new technology and techniques in the use and application of GIS data.

Perform data editing, map production, and geospatial analysis using common GIS platforms.

Perform spatial modeling and analysis.
-
Conduct slope, volume, area, and hillshade/viewshed analysis.
-
Support 3D animations and surface modeling.
-
Perform image analysis, cartography, demographic modeling, linear referencing and dynamic segmentation, and route analysis.

Create FGDC-compliant metadata.
-
Provide ad hoc training.

Review documentation and prepare video training modules.

Perform spatial and tabular queries using available GIS software tools.

Integrate GIS software with relational databases.

Import and export spatial and tabular data using GIS software.

Identify, categorize, maintain, and update major GIS feature classes.
REQUIRED SKILLS & TECHNICAL EXPERTISE:

Experience optimizing geospatial and data workflows.

Knowledge of supervised and unsupervised methods for dataset cleaning.

Capability to evaluate and streamline structured and unstructured data processes.

Technical competency in GIS data and QA/QC of spatial data.

Ability to produce web maps.

Experience using raster data.

Experience integrating and analyzing remotely sensed data in a GIS.

Knowledge of ESRI ARC software products.

Demonstrated ability in data editing, map production, and geospatial analysis using common GIS platforms, including Esri, Mapbox, Autodesk, and Bentley Systems.

Working knowledge of data models and standards.

Ability to perform spatial modeling and analysis.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
