Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic MSU/PCU Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care within the Medical-Surgical Unit (MSU) and Progressive Care Unit (PCU), ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of diverse patient populations. Your expertise will support acute and post-acute care needs, with a focus on delivering high-quality nursing services in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the MSU/PCU, including assessments, vital signs monitoring, and medication administration using EMR/EHR systems.
- Perform specialized procedures such as IV infusions, catheterizations, suturing, tube feedings, and sterile dressing changes while maintaining aseptic technique.
- Manage complex patient cases involving acute pain management, trauma medicine, infectious disease care, and critical care procedures including ventilator management and airway support.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations like laboratory testing and specimen collection/processing.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with NCQA standards and HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with triage in emergency situations.
- Document all patient interactions accurately in electronic health records, ensuring compliance with medical documentation standards.
Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in WA
- Current BLS certification
- At least 3 years of RN experience
- MSU/PCU experience
