Job Summary
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and proactive Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team. You’ll make visual and measured inspections of products to ensure conformance with standards and determine if product meets all requirements. You may inspect incoming materials or plates, outgoing materials, or fittings throughout the manufacturing process. The Quality Inspector may apply other quality factors using measuring instruments and inspection equipment. Responsibilities
· Performs assigned, routine visual inspections and other specified tests on raw materials, goods in process, and finished products.
· Tests, inspects, and approve raw materials based on established quality specifications.
· Uses observation and testing to identify faults in materials and manufacturing process.
· Uses statistical methods to test product samples to evaluate quality of full product batch prior to delivery.
· Compares results of inspections and tests to company’s quality standards, reports results to supervisor for final analysis and action steps.
· Develops, maintains, and posts logs, charts, and forms detailing quality levels, inspection data, and results of special quality studies for review by line mechanics, supervisors, and other production staff.
· Consults with supervisor to determine appropriate recommendations and remedies for questionable products.
· Maintains quality records as needed.
· Work under the supervision of a Level 2 certified inspector.
· Follow all safety rules and practices.
· Reviewing Non-Conforming Material and start the investigation process
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Experience
· Thorough understanding of the product and/or process being inspected.
· Able to read and understand fabrication drawings and familiar with symbols.
· Attention to detail.
· Proficiently utilize inspection tools and/or measuring equipment.
· Thorough knowledge and skill in manufacturing process.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide feedback based on your interpretations and analysis.
· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with people at all levels of the project.
Physical Requirements:
· Can continuously stand for 7.5 to 10 hours.
· Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
· Dexterity and accuracy as needed to operate testing equipment or gauges.
· Must pass an eye exam.
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
