American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with Level 1 trauma acute care experience for a 13-week inpatient acute care assignment at a large academic teaching hospital.

Inpatient acute care setting at a large short-term acute care, academic teaching hospital with 1,259 staffed beds
-
Therapy services provided across a wide range of units including medicine, surgery, orthopedics, neurology, cardiopulmonary, and oncology
-
May be utilized in any therapy service line based on facility needs
-
Day shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00–15:30 (start time flexible up to 8:00)

One weekend (Saturday and Sunday) required per 4-week period, with a corresponding weekday off during that week
-
No on-call requirements

Charting performed in Epic; Epic experience required
-
Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Minimum 1 year of Level 1 trauma acute care physical therapy experience required

Current BLS certification required
-
Valid MO state license required at time of consideration; pending IL license accepted for IL-based submissions

License required if applicable

Strong communication skills and ability to work with a variety of patient populations

Experience with acute care assessment, documentation, patient/family education, and safety and injury prevention

Epic EMR experience required

Primary responsibilities include assessment, treatment, documentation, patient/family education, and safety and injury prevention across inpatient acute care populations

Black or grey scrubs required

No RTO permitted during the first week of orientation; no more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract
-
Former permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any facility in this system as a traveler

Allied travelers may work up to 12 months before a required 6-month break in service
