We are seeking a remote Administrative Lawyer 1099 Contractor with 3-5 years of experience to handle an ongoing litigation lawsuit case on behalf of DIT. You must have experience filing Lawsuits in EDVA"rocket docket" . You will manage this specific Section 1983 and Section 1981 lawsuit from filing through settlement negotiations, while advising leadership on associated legal risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, file, and litigate the designated Section 1983 and Section 1981 lawsuit; manage negotiations toward a resolution (bonus eligible upon successful settlement).
- Contract Review: Review, draft, and negotiate any related contracts, vendor agreements, and partnerships tied to the matter.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with WIOA, privacy, employment, and administrative regulations relevant to the case.
- Stakeholder Communication: Translate complex legal issues arising from the lawsuit into clear, practical guidance for non-legal leadership.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3-5 years of legal experience in administrative law, regulatory compliance, or civil rights litigation.
- Licensure: Active Virginia bar license in good standing.
- Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
Pay: $200.00 - $400.00 per hour
