Mail Services Specialist
Location: Springfield, OH Area
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay: $15.00/hour
An established insurance company in the Springfield, Ohio area is seeking a reliable, organized, and team-oriented Mail Services Specialist to join their operations team. This role involves processing, sorting, scanning, and distributing mail and documents while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and confidentiality.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail and packages to appropriate departments and individuals.
- Process outgoing mail, ensuring accurate postage and timely delivery.
- Maintain records of incoming and outgoing trackable mail.
- Operate mailroom equipment, including postage meters, scanners, mail sorters, and OPEX mail processing machines.
- Prepare incoming mail and documents for electronic processing and transfer to other departments.
- Open, organize, and feed documents into scanning equipment for digital conversion.
- Assist with bulk mailings, including folding, stuffing, and sealing envelopes.
- Process electronic mail (E-Prep/FTP) and perform other mail-related administrative duties as assigned.
- Complete manual paperwork and document handling tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe mailroom environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Pleasant, professional, and easy-going demeanor.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while performing repetitive tasks.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. and push/pull up to 50 lbs.
- Previous mailroom, scanning, document processing, or administrative experience is a plus.
